THE OFFICE OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS

CULTURAL SECTION

The Cultural Section organizes conferences, seminars, lectures, and roundtables, on a wide range of issues, mainly in collaboration with Pakistani professional, academic, and cultural institutions. These Public Affairs events provide a regular forum of dialogue for representatives of American and Pakistani government agencies, companies, associations, trade unions, think tanks, universities, non-governmental organizations, media, and political parties.

The Cultural Office initiates and designs exchange programs for opinion shapers in politics, business, culture and the media. The International Visitor’s Program enables Pakistani experts and delegations to participate in information tours to the U.S., which include visits to government and public institutions on the federal as well as state and municipal levels. Their field of activity includes the entire Karachi Consular District, which means the whole of Sindh and Balochistan.

The U.S. Consulate homepage is maintained by the Office of the Public Affairs in Karachi. Links to other, non-U.S. Government Internet sites should not be construed as an endorsement of the views therein.
