Welcome To Region 3
from Regional Director
Robyn Thorson

Welcome!

On behalf of the employees of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's Great Lakes-Big Rivers Region, we are pleased you are visiting us. We want you to explore all the information we have available on our website. We are doing everything we can to ensure you can find the information you need and gain a better understanding of the important work of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

The Service's mission is to work with others to conserve, protect and enhance the nation's fish, wildlife and plants and their habitats for the continuing benefit of the American people. Every employee in this Region is dedicated to fulfilling that mission and ensuring our nation's natural resources are here for future generations to enjoy. We know we can't get it done alone. We work closely with state, tribal, congressional and nongovernmental partners to coordinate efforts and work effectively.

When you are finished visiting our website, I hope you take the information you've gathered and get involved in conservation. Come visit one of the national wildlife refuges, wetland management districts or fish hatcheries in our Region. These are special places dedicated to fish, wildlife and the people who care about and enjoy them.

Thank you for taking the time to visit our website and for your interest in the activities of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in the Great Lakes-Big Rivers Region.
