National Small Business Development Centers (SBDC) Research Network
Funded by the SBA, this site provides links to state SBDC organizations, basic business and financing information and resources.

State Technology Development Centers
Numerous states have set up agencies designed to promote and facilitate technology development and commercialization within their state. Here is a state by state list of some of these center.

State and County SBDC offices.

SBDC National Information Clearinghouse
responds to requests, helps locate experts and to regional sources of information, provides access to business-related information resources, and disseminates SBA publications

NASA Regional Technology Transfer Centers (RTTCs)
The six NASA-sponsored RTTCs match the technology needs of the private sector with the resources of NASA and other federal laboratories.

Small Business Administration
An excellent starting point for entrepreneurs with information on starting, financing, expanding and operating a business. Also, links to state and local SBA resources, financing from several governmental levels, and information on private sector resources.


R&D; Funding

Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR)
SBIR funds the critical start-up and development stages and it encourages the commercialization of the technology, product, or service. SBIR is a competitive funding program.

National SBIR Conference
Multiple conferences are held each year, and in different locations throughout the United States.

Small Business Technology Transfer Research (STTR)
STTR is a highly competitive program that reserves a specific percentage of federal R&D; funding for award to small business and nonprofit research institution partners. STTR is a multi-agency funding program.

Advanced Technology Program (ATP)
ATP is a competitive program for both large and small companies. The ATP does not fund companies to do product development. The ATP funds R&D; to develop high-risk technologies up to the point where it is feasible for companies to begin product development.

Joint Dual-Use Program (DUAP)
DUAP's pool of R&D; funds will create an opportunity for service program managers and firms to develop dual use technology -- technology that is militarily useful and commercially viable.

National Research Initiative Competitive Grants Program (NRICGP)
THE NRICGP funds research on key problems of national and regional importance in biological, environmental, physical, and social sciences relevant to agriculture, food, and the environment on a peer-reviewed, competitive basis.

Small Business Administration Financing Programs
How-to information about funding resources available through the SBA.

CO-AgRA - Capitalizing on Opportunities in Agriculture for Rural America
