- The six NASA-sponsored RTTCs match the

- An excellent starting point for entrepreneurs with information on
starting, financing, expanding and operating a business. Also, links to
state and local SBA resources, financing from several governmental levels,
and information on private sector resources.
- Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR)
- SBIR funds the critical start-up and development stages
and it encourages the commercialization of the technology, product, or
service. SBIR is a competitive funding program.
- National SBIR Conference

- STTR is a highly competitive program that reserves a specific percentage
of federal R&D; funding for award to small business and nonprofit research institution partners. STTR is a multi-agency funding program.

- Advanced Technology Program (ATP)
- ATP is a competitive program for both large and small companies. The ATP does not fund companies to do
product development. The ATP funds R&D; to develop high-risk technologies up to the point
where it is feasible for companies to begin product development.
- Joint Dual-Use Program (DUAP)
- DUAP's pool of R&D; funds will create an
opportunity for service program managers and firms to
develop dual use technology -- technology that is militarily useful and commercially viable.
- National Research Initiative Competitive Grants Program (NRICGP)
- THE NRICGP funds research on key problems of national and regional importance in biological,
environmental, physical, and social sciences relevant to agriculture, food, and the environment on a
peer-reviewed, competitive basis.
