DOI has established a two-level performance appraisal system as set out in 370 DM 430.  Employees are rated either "Results Achieved" or "Results Not Achieved".  An employee who fails to meet one Critical Result will receive a rating of "Results Not Achieved" and will be given a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP).
