Rebuilding Iraq: Subcontracting Opportunities Regional Conference

The U.S. Embassy Seoul, the Korea International Trade Association (KITA) and the Korea Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) are organizing a conference titled "Rebuilding Iraq: Subcontracting Opoprtunities Regional Conference" on April 28, 2004, in Seoul. The conference is being sponsored by the Korean Government's Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy (MOCIE), the Ministry of Construction and Transportation (MOCT) and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MOFAT).

The purpose of the conference is to solicit interest on the part of North East Asian sub-contractors and equipment suppliers in participating in major projects for the reconstruction of Iraq. The conference will provide up-to-date information on Iraq rebuilding sub-contracting opportunities resulting from recent contacts that have been awarded by the Coalition Provisional Authority's Program Management Office of the U.S. Department of Defence.
