Armed Forces Fencers 3rd In Men's Sabre At 2002 World Military Fencing Championship

Berne, Switzerland - The U.S. Armed Forces Fencing team tied with four other nations for the bronze medal in Men's Sabre at the 38th Conseil International du Sport Militaire (CISM) World Military Fencing Championship held June 17 - June 25, 2002 in Berne, Switzerland.

The United States competed against military teams from ten countries; including Switzerland, Russia, Norway, France, and Germany.

The U.S. delegation featured Commander Josua Runyan (U.S. Navy) placing 7th in the men's sabre and IT Bryan T. O'Hagen (U.S. Navy) clinched 10th place in sabre and 27th place in men's foil.
