Susan
M. Clark, M.A.

Division of Program Management
In October 1996, Susan Clark was appointed Assistant Director
for Program Management of the Office on Womens Health (OWH) in the Department of
Health and Human Services Ms. Clark began her career in Federal service in March 1977. She
has a broad range of management and administrative experience in Federal contract
acquisition, budget strategy, and program development. Ms. Clark received her
undergraduate and graduate degrees in Social Psychology from the University of Maryland.
In her current position as Division Director in the OWH, she is responsible for setting
priorities for the planning, monitoring, and direction of multi-year contracts, and for
program planning and evaluation. Additionally, Ms. Clark is the Project Officer for
the National Centers of Excellence in Women's Health program.
Prior to this appointment, she served as Special Assistant to
the Director, National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute;
a psychologist in the National Institute of
Neurological and Communicative Diseases and Stroke; as a social science analyst in the
Office of the Director, NIH; and as a program analyst in
the Health Resources and Services Administration. Among
the honors she has received are numerous superior performance, recognition, and special
achievement awards.
