Biography

Robert Connerton is the Chief Engineer of the Earth Sciences Directorate at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md.

In this position, Mr. Connerton is responsible for evaluating and coordinating the engineering support for the broad range of programs with in the Earth Sciences Directorate. These programs range from basic technology research and development to flight experiment development, to mission operations and data analysis.

Prior to joining the Earth Sciences Directorate, Mr. Connerton was the GSFC associate for the Earth Science Technology Office (ESTO), supporting the instrument, component, and information system technology programs. Before that Mr. Connerton was the theme technologist for for the Office of Space Science Structure and Evolution of the Universe (SEU) science theme. He has supported a number of varied NASA missions and programs from the Hubble Space Telescope, MIDEXs and New Millinneum Program.

Mr. Connerton has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from University of Maryland and a Master in Computer Science from George Washington University.
