page is provided to assist those not eligible for an AARTS transcript to
obtain college credit for their military education and experience. It can
also be used by those who are eligible but need to
supplement their
transcript with information not included on AARTS. The
purpose here is that "if we can't help you, we'll try to point you in
the right direction to someone who can."
If you find any of the links or
phone numbers to be inaccurate, please
notify us. We try to verify this information on a regular basis but changes may
occur before we are made aware of them. Please also tell us if you know of other
sources that may be helpful to others.

1. Ft Sam Houston
The official web site for Ft Sam Houston and the AMEDD Center and School.
2. American Council On Education (ACE)
ACE provides AARTS with the course and MOS descriptions
and credit recommendations that are used on the AARTS transcript. The ACE
web site contains a wealth of information concerning education as well as
their role in evaluating military courses and job experience. You
can also view the
ACE Guide online!
3. Army Continuing Education System (ACES)
ACES is AARTS' parent organization. This web site will
provide you with information concerning the repayment of student loans,
scholarships, earning your degree while in the Army, and other related
topics.
4. Army Correspondence Course Program (ACCP)
As a registered Army Institute for Professional Development
(AIPD) student you can enroll for a course or subcourse(s), look at active
and history records, see what is new in the Reimer Digital Library for
Distance Learning Training, complete examinations on-line and more!
You can contact the Correspondence School by choosing "Email or Phone
Number" in the "Select an option" drop-down menu near the
bottom of the page.
5. Army National Guard
Education Support Center (Formerly ARNGI)
The ARNGI web site has been redirected to the "Virtual
Armory" web site. The Virtual Armory site contains information
similar to the old ARNGI site. The following information is excerpted from the ARNGI web
site (click on
"Education Support Center"):
"The contract for the new Education Support Center (ESC),
formerly known as the ARNGI, has been awarded. The ESC will provide the following for our soldiers: educational
counseling services, academic evaluation, information services for tuition assistance concerning financial
aid, and course enrollment procedures. The ESC will open its doors to our soldiers on 15 Nov 02 at Lexington Hall
in Camp Robinson, AR. The new address is NGPEC, P. O. Box 797 North Little Rock, AR 72511-0797 Attn: ESC.

6. Army Training Requirements and Resources System (ATRRS)
ATRRS provides AARTS with a monthly file of soldier course
graduate information. You can search the Army Formal Schools Catalog on
the ATRRS web site for course information. Distance Learning and
related information is also available.
7. Command and General Staff College (CGSC), Non-Resident Studies, and CAS3
This is the official CGSC web site with links to CAS3 and other
services offered at Ft Leavenworth for officer education.
8. Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) Home Page
Official web site for the Community College of the Air
Force. The
CCAF transcript page provides information on obtaining CCAF transcripts for Air
Force personnel, other service members and civilians who attend CCAF courses.
9. Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support (DANTES)
The DANTES web site contains education-related
information for all branches of military service. You can get
information on educational testing (DANTES, CLEP, DSST, ECE), find the
Education Center nearest you, find out about distance learning, and
more.
10. Defense Language Institute (DLI) Home Page
Official web site of the Defense Language Institute Foreign
Language Center, Presidio of Monterey, CA. Use the link at the right for information on requesting a
DLI Transcript.
11. Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC)
DMDC was established to collect and maintain an archive of
automated manpower, personnel, training, and financial databases for the
Department of Defense. DMDC's primary function is to support the
information management needs of the Office of the Under Secretary of
Defense for Personnel & Readiness OUSD (P&R) and its predecessors.
Information concerning the ASVAB Career Exploration Program, DEERS,
Information Delivery System, Operation Transition, and other programs can
be found at the DMDC web site. See also "VMET" link below.
12. DeploymentLINK
The Deputy Secretary of Defense announced the establishment
of the Office of the Special Assistant to the Under Secretary of Defense
(Personnel and Readiness) for Gulf War Illnesses, Medical Readiness and
Military Deployments. The Special Assistant will address and
coordinate health-related deployment matters with the Assistant
Secretaries of Defense for Force Management Policy, Health Affairs, and
Reserve Affairs, and the Deputy Under Secretaries of Defense for Program
Integration and Readiness. DeploymentLINK is designed as a
portal for deployment-related health and readiness issues. Updated
daily, the site features an interactive email component and a list
service. Currently, it is linked to hundreds of other government web
sites.

The High-Altitude Army Aviation Training Site (HAATS)
The High-Altitude Army Aviation Training Site, is located in the
small mountain town of Gypsum (near Vail), Colorado. The school
offers a unique training methodology based on aircraft power that is
designed to dramatically increase individual and crew situational
awareness. The school caters to rotor-wing military pilots from all over the world.

National Personnel Records Center (NPRC)
The National Personnel Records Center (NPRC), Military
Personnel Records (MPR) is the repository of millions of military
personnel, health, and medical records of discharged and deceased veterans
of all services during the 20th century. The NPRC receives and stores federal
military and civilian personnel records. This site is provided for those seeking
information regarding military personnel, health and medical records stored at
NPRC (MPR). It includes instructions for preparing and submitting requests.

Navy Sailor/Marine American Council On Education Registry Transcript (SMART)
This is the Navy's web site for requesting a SMART transcript (similar
to AARTS, but for Navy/USMC personnel). The site also contains other educational information
for Navy personnel.
16. US Department of Education
This is the US Government's official web site for education
benefits and programs. Topics include Funding Opportunities, Student
Financial Assistance, Programs & Services and other useful
information.
17. USMC Sailor/Marine American Council On Education Registry Transcript (SMART)
This is the Navy and Marine Corps' web site for requesting a SMART
transcript (similar to AARTS, but for Navy/USMC personnel). The site also contains other
educational information for Marine personnel. You can also use the "Navy
SMART" link above.
18. US Office of Personnel Management
This is the US Government's official web site for jobs and
employment information provided by the United States Office of Personnel
Management.
19. Verification of Military Experience and Training (VMET)
Until further notice, VMET documents (DD Form 2586) are
available only from Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps Transition
Support offices. Please follow the instructions at the VMET site for
obtaining this document.
