GIS at your finger tips with your internet browser! GIS on the Internet provides a much more dynamic tool than a static map display. Web-enabled GIS lets you experience interactive capabilities with tools to:
- Print map or save to disk
- Zoom in/out and pan
- Measure distance between map points
- Identify map points
The following categories are data available now for you to explore and create personal maps and images.
- Intermountain Parks:
The Intermountain Region covers 8 states (MT, WY, CO, UT, AZ, NM, TX, and OK) and includes 89 park units.
- National Historic Trails:
The Intermountain GIS PRogram Office in close cooperation with the National
Trails Office is providing IMS services for the Trail
of Tears, El Camino Real and other national historic trials.
- Scenic Byways & Historic Routes:
The National Scenic Byways Program was created to preserve and protect the nation's scenic byways and, at the same time promote tourism and economic development.
- Interactive Map Center:
The IMC contains information about and maps of National Parks. The IMC delivers base maps and park brochure maps for geographic reference and navigation to and within parks.
