Wetlands Conservation

The Region's North American Waterfowl and Wetlands Office (often referred to as Joint Ventures Office) is responsible for implementing the North American Waterfowl Management Plan and the North American Wetlands Conservation Act on a regional scale.

Joint Venture Office staff work with local conservation groups, state and local officials to help conserve wetlands that waterfowl critically need for survival. These volunteer, non-regulated partnerships have built a grass roots network of support for waterfowl and other wildlife that use wetlands.

To find out more about how the staff works with issues in each of our Region's eight states, visit the North American Waterfowl Management Plan website or choose the state below that you are interested in learning more about:

Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, Wisconsin

For more information about wetlands conservation, check the North American Waterfowl and Wetlands Home Page.
